Ipamorelin (INN) (developmental code name NNC 26-0161) is a peptide selective agonist of the ghrelin/growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS) and a growth hormone secretagogue. Ipamorelin significantly increases plasma growth hormone (GH) levels in both animals and humans. Like pralmorelin and GHRP-6, Ipamorelin does not affect prolactin, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), or thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) levels.
Just like GHRP-6, it both stimulates the pituitary and suppresses somatostatin. This is not the most powerful growth hormone releasing peptide. But neither causes your appetite to surge drastically nor your prolactin or cortisol levels to rise. These reasons make them a favourite for some users.
According to a scientific study that has been based on animal test subjects, Ipamorelin’s functionality is linked to the pituitary gland and the liver. It has been determined that the peptide works with the pituitary gland to increase secretions related to growth while simultaneously blocking secretions known to block the release of growth secretions. The peptide’s work with the liver induces an uptick in the expression of IGF-1. This secretion is noted to have high anabolic properties, which enables it to play a key role in the overall growth and repair of muscles and tissues. These interactions ultimately enable an animal test subject to experience an elevated measure of functionality relating to the growth and repair throughout its body.
