Enhanced Athlete EpiMuscle is a natural testosterone booster and bioactive flavanol found in trace amounts in green tea and cocoa. Research with epicatechin indicates that it increases levels of follistatin, a unique type of protein found in the muscle cells which binds to and inhibits the actions of myostatin in the body. Epicatechin increases follistatin and more follistatin equals less myostatin, which in turn means more muscle. Clinical studies with epicatechin show multiple physiological benefits, including:
- 100% natural supplement
- Enhanced muscle growth and strength
- Increased nitric oxide production-improving vascularity, blood flow and endurance
- Improved muscle insulin sensitivity
- Lowered total cholesterol levels
- Improved brain and heart health
- Enhanced vascularity
- Helps reduce fatigue
- Stacks with anabolic supplements
Who Can Use Enhanced Athlete EpiMuscle
Whether you’re looking to build muscle, burn fat or increase athletic performance, epicatechin is a worthwhile addition to your supplement arsenal, and because it’s non-hormonal, epicatechin can be used by both men and women with no side effects.
Epicatechin significantly aids muscle growth by inhibiting myostatin, a protein present in your muscles cells which limits growth and differentiation. Research shows that epicatechin stimulates the release of follistatin, another protein that blocks the actions of myostatin, leading to increased exercise capacity, strength, and muscle growth.
Genetically gifted bodybuilders have very low levels of myostatin in their bodies. Experiments, where animals were born without myostatin, grew muscle endlessly with little exercise.
A number of supplements have been designed to inhibit myostatin production over the past 20 years but none of them have been very effective – until now.
A clinical trial where older adults were given 50mg of epicatechin per day found that the follistatin/myostatin ratio increased 49% after only 7 days of supplementation. Another clinical trial found that 200mg of epicatechin per day improved endurance and prevented muscular fatigue by inhibiting the aerobic and mitochondrial succinate dehydrogenase adaptations that occur during exercise.
Animal studies support these finds. Epicatechin given to mice decreased myostatin by 18% and increased follistatin by 56%.
New research is looking at epicatechin as a way to prevent sarcopenia, a loss of muscle associated with age. In elderly human subjects, levels of myostatin decreased by 28%, while follistatin increased 30% after only 7 days of treatment with epicatechin. Treatment with epicatechin also yielded a 7% increase in muscular strength.
Stacking Enhanced Athlete EpiMuscle
EPIMUSCLE (epicatechin) will make any other muscle building ingredients you stack with it more effective. For example, you could stack EPIMUSCLE with arachidonic acid, Phytodrol (Laxogenin) and phosphatic acid.
Enhanced Athlete EpiMuscle Dosage
Clinical research shows that a dosage of only 50mg/day is necessary to see results, but empirical usage suggests that epicatechin should be dosed at 1-2mg/kg of bodyweight. Feedback from users suggests that dosing at the higher end, around 250mg per day, is optimal to maximize the athletic and muscle-building benefits.
